INTRODUCTION
CAN YOU FEEL IT IN THE AIR?
Amateur and professional field recordists from around the world joined MSCTY_Studio for a series of workshops exploring listening and field recording.
Participants were invited to submit their own recordings of the element, AIR, and the effects of it on their environs.
These recordings were used to produce new sound work "Aeropendulum", for 2020's Moobaan Wonder festival.

"Air cannot be seen, but can be felt by its movement. This installation is an instrument that makes the air element palpable. The movement of the pendulums are triggered by wind that pushes the leaflike panels at the top. Once the pendulum is in motion, it creates differing lights, sounds, and wind prompting unique experience for each visitor." [Archicomplex]
For 2022's long-awaited return to the fields, the AIR installation was refreshed and reimagined as FEATHER, a sound installation for a shelter overlooking the festival's lake, from a secluded vantage point.
The new piece uses only the sounds provided by all original workshop participants.
