About
When planning our first Sonic Minds Lab, we had many objectives in mind, but what really seemed most important was to share the story of how we got here.
We based it at Sala Saneha - a space with 2 floors, including a cinema screening room, a cafe, and some nice little nooks and comfortable spaces - which meant we could share films, discussions, interactive sessions and demonstrations, and a pop-up exhibition of our work.
We were pleased to host a wide ranging selection of collaborators: the architect Boomsern Premthada, filmmaker and fellow sound explorer Nick Dwyer, Dr Nicholas Luscombe [OIST Sonic Lab], May-T Noijinda of defining Thai alternative rock band Modern Dog, musician and Wonderfruit co-founder Montonn Jira, Paveena Viriyaprapaiki [PureHive], and the DJ and producer Sunju Hargun.

Installations and exhibitions throughout the venue opening up the creative world of Sonic Minds through field recordings, research materials, graphic scores, essays, sketches, and evolving works developed across Wonderfruit and beyond.
Our Musicity x Bangkok project began the story.
The entrance to Sala Saneha shared the program with visitors.
Alongside the exhibition and discussions in the main space, the weekend included a concurrent programme sharing film screenings, immersive Sonic Minds listening experiences, and sound + science demonstrations.
Screenings included a pre-release showing of Nick Dwyer's "The Insect Musicians" and Sonic Minds compositions.
We arranged displays and listening areas within zones of the venue to allow deep explorations of our work in the fields.
